Ra Uru Hu made very specific and sometimes drastic statements about the time after 2027. This article reports them without presenting them as a certain future. That matters, because two levels easily get mixed up: what Ra taught within his own cosmology and what has actually been verified or scientifically proven. They’re not the same thing.
How Ra spoke about the future
By his own account, Ra derived these statements from Human Design cosmology, the great cycles and the wheel of the 64 gates. So he didn’t treat them as mere personal speculation. For readers today, though, they remain a reading of the future from within the system: the method isn’t an established scientific forecasting technique.
On top of that, Ra repeatedly and deliberately switched into storytelling mode in his lectures. Some of the most spectacular images he explicitly called a science-fiction story himself. That’s exactly why it makes sense to distinguish between teaching and storytelling here.
What he presented as part of his teaching
Teaching Collective institutions lose their hold
Ra predicted that with the end of the Cross of Planning, large communal structures would gradually lose their binding force. Among them he counted governmental, social, medical and economic institutions. He didn’t describe a one-time collapse in 2027, but a long transition over decades.
That’s a statement from his cosmology, not a reliable social-science model. In the real world, whether and how institutions change depends on politics, the economy, technology, demographics and many other factors.
Teaching Human fertility declines
Ra linked the new cycle to a long-term decline in human fertility and, within his teaching, connected it to Pluto and the coming mutation. This claim shouldn’t be read medically: there’s no scientific evidence that Human Design cycles or Pluto control human fertility in this way.
Teaching The “Age of Truth” comes to an end
Ra used this expression for a particular window of time in which, according to his teaching, certain knowledge could come into the world — a window he said closes in 2027. It’s a term within his cosmology, not a claim that after 2027 truth literally ceases to exist or nothing new can ever be discovered.
Teaching Leadership changes its form
Ra expected a shift away from strongly hierarchical, collective leadership toward a more individual orientation based on living by example. This too is a forecast from the cycle model. It doesn’t predict that parties, governments or leaders will disappear after 2027.
Teaching The Solar Plexus changes over generations
In connection with the so-called Solar Plexus mutation, Ra described a long-term change in emotional awareness. In some lectures, he drew very sweeping conclusions from this about love, romance and passion.
These statements belong to Human Design cosmology. There’s no empirical evidence that love or romance will “disappear” in future generations, or that the human emotional system will rebuild itself biologically as this prediction says.
Teaching Raves and a conscious Penta
For the time after 2027, Ra also described so-called Raves: future beings whose consciousness, according to his cosmology, would differ fundamentally from human self-consciousness and work more through a conscious Penta.
Even though he treated this basic idea as part of his teaching, it isn’t a reliable statement about what kind of children will be born after 2027. So it should never be used to diagnose or label real children, or to read normal developmental differences as signs of a new species.
Storytelling What Ra himself explicitly marked as a story
Some further elaborations Ra explicitly introduced as a story or as science fiction. They include detailed ideas about how Raves might experience their surroundings, how their groups might organize themselves or what humanity’s very distant future might look like.
“Brahma’s Night” belongs to this cosmological and mythological part as well. Passages like these can be interesting if you want to understand Ra’s worldview. But they shouldn’t be lifted out of their storytelling context and presented as statements of fact.
What was also a product of its time
Ra sometimes linked his interpretation of the cycles to scientific and social topics of his own day, such as climate, pandemic or future scenarios from the 2000s. References like these aren’t Human Design mechanics in their own right. They show how he connected his cosmology with developments at the time.
What’s left in practice?
It’s striking that, despite his drastic images of the future, Ra didn’t turn them into a list of preparations. Within his own system, the practical recommendation stayed the same: understand your personal design and make decisions through your Strategy and Authority.
That can be read calmly: even if the 2027 cosmology interests you, you don’t need a strategy built on fear. Your birth chart doesn’t change with the shift between cycles, and none of these prophecies replaces real information about politics, health, the economy or social developments.
In short: Ra made sweeping statements about the time after 2027. Some he treated as a firm part of his teaching; others he himself marked as storytelling. Both remain within Human Design cosmology and shouldn’t be confused with empirically grounded research about the future.
Look at your own chart
The 2027 themes are background cosmology. Your personal starting point is still your birth chart, with its Type, Strategy, Authority, centers, gates and channels.

Do you have to believe these prophecies?
No. They belong to Human Design cosmology. You can get to know them as part of the teaching without accepting them as a reliable description of the future.
Where do the statements come from?
Mainly from Ra’s Rave Cosmology lectures and related series such as Rave Anatomy. This article deliberately aims to put his statements in context — not to confirm them as scientific forecasts.
Does all of this begin on a particular day?
Ra linked 2027 to a shift between cycles, but described the social and biological consequences as a longer-term development. So no specific date marks a reliable moment when institutions, fertility or human consciousness suddenly switch over.
From the big picture of the future back to your own chart
The bigger a topic sounds, the more helpful it often is to come back to what you can actually observe: your own design, your decisions and your real life.
